Jason Andrada: From Unmotivated to an Undefeated Thai Fighter

[youtube=] Just before the interview with Jason Andrada a few of us were trading stories of weight cutting and our backgrounds in combat sports. Jason chimed in to say, "My background was in Dungeons and Dragons before this." While we all got a good kick out of it, I couldn't help but wonder "How does someone go from 'Dungeons and Dragons' to Muay Thai?"

"I remember seeing the 'True Life' with Ben Garcia and Kit Cope and I wondered if I could do this. I wondered if I could fight", said Jason. Soon thereafter he found himself paying two years upfront to train at the famed Master Toddy's Gym in Las Vegas, NV. During the time Jason chose to start training at Master Toddy's it was filled with some of the biggest names in Muay Thai from the United States. After watching one of Kevin Ross' fights he became inspired to stay motivated in the sport and has moved on from 27 amateur fights to being and undefeated pro with a record of 2-0, both wins by KO.

Jason's next opponent will be Ivan "J.P." Cole from Team Saekson in Texas. Andrada is expecting a great fight and claims to know what to look for. "He's going to have great Muay Thai. He's going to have great kicks." While not making any predictions on the outcome he say's he is expecting one thing, "Five rounds of work."

You can catch Jason's next fight live on July 26, 2013 at Lion Fight Promotions in Las Vegas, NV at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
