UFC Macao (Fuel TV 6): MJ's Picks & Parlays

After a phenomenal weekend of fights highlighted by stellar performances by Chidi Njokuani, Tyson Griffin, Andrei Arlovski and a host of Bellator Fighters, the UFC has got its work cut out for it this upcoming Saturday November 10th. Fortunately for the UFC, this card has some serious talent on it and should keep the fans entertained and engaged. The best part . . . it's free on Fuel TV! Headlined by two former champions in Rich Franklin and Cung Le, the UFC's foray into China should be one to remember. With Thiago Silva and Dong Hyun Kim both looking for redemption after coming short in their last outings respectively, fireworks should ensue.

So, without further ado . . . let's get this party started!

UFC Macao Picks:

Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le

With an Octagon record of 12-5 and 25 career finishes, there's no doubt in my mind that Rich Franklin will go down as the 2nd best Middleweight in UFC history. With that said, Cung Le definitely has his work cut out for him. Le comes into this fight with a 1-1 record in the UFC and a decision win over Patrick Cote in his last outing. This battle of former champs will come down to skill set and experience. Mark my words as Rich Franklin will take this by TKO in the 2nd.

Dong Hyun Kim vs. Paulo Thiago

After a freak rib injury handed Kim his most recent loss, I'm expecting him to come back strong and reestablish himself as one of the top 170 pounders in the game. Paulo Thiago has made leaps and bounds in his game over an 8 fight UFC stint but it simply won't be enough against the "Stun Gun". Kim's wrestling, top game and sub defense should ensure a Unanimous Decision victory.

Thiago Silva vs. Stanislav Nedkov

If there's a fight to stay away from on this card, this is it. The unknown commodity in Stanislov Nedkov along with Silva's tentative affair with Gustaffson makes this a tricky pick. If I had to pick it, I have to go with Thiago Silva. I think he redeems himself and makes a statement to the rest of the 205lb division by making quick work of Stanislov Nedkov and the hype train he came in on. Silva by 1st round TKO.

Mac Danzig vs. Takanori Gomi

Coming off of a win over Efrain Escudero, Mac Danzig looks to make it two straight against the "Fireball Kid". Gomi vowed to bring the belt home to Japan after his TKO win versus Eiji Mitsuoka. Danzig's sub game along with Gomi's exposed weakness on the ground should add up to a short night for Takanori. I'm looking for a renewed Mac Danzig to win via Submission in the 2nd round.

Alex Caceres vs. Motonobu Tezuka

Bruce Leroy should own this one from start to finish. Tezuka will face his first opponent outside of Japan and I'm expecting the stronger Caceres to grind out the grinder. Slowly but surely Alex Caceres should break down Tezuka and I'm betting on a submission finish before the end of the 3rd.

3 pick: Kim, Danzig, Caceres - $100 to win $200

4 pick: Kim, Danzig, Caceres, Franklin - $100 to win $300

5 pick: Kim, Danzig, Caceres, Franklin, Silva - $100 to win $415
