UFC on FOX 3: MJ's Picks & Parlays

Coming off the heels of a dismal main event at UFC 145, the world is in dire need of an MMA card that can deliver from start to finish. With the match ups and talent that will be on display come Saturday night, UFC on FOX 3 should bring us our fix. Be sure to tune in for the free night of fights as it airs live on FOX this upcoming Saturday night.

So, without further ado, here we go . . .

MJ's Picks for UFC on FOX 3:

Nate Diaz VS. Jim Miller

You won't find a bigger Nate Diaz fan than yours truly, but this is just bad match up for him. Nate has solid stand up and Jiu Jitsu, but the wrestling and strength advantage of Jim Miller makes this a tough one. I think Miller will brutalize Diaz over the course of 3 rounds and will take home a unanimous decision. I'm pulling for Diaz though and would love for him to take one step closer to a title shot. Miller by Decision.

Josh Koscheck VS. Johny Hendricks

Both of these guys are phenomenal wrestlers with solid stand up games. They both like to stand and bang so it should make for a great fight. Koscheck has been on cruise control lately and I think that the hunger Hendricks brings to this showing will be the difference maker. Johny will also have a power advantage while standing that I'm betting will translate into an early finish. Hendricks by K.O.

Rousimar Palhares VS. Alan Belcher

Alan may be the talent, but Palhares it the stump. Unless Belcher brings a serious breakout performance, I just don't see Palhares losing this one. It could go a dozen different ways, but I think Palhares out muscles him on the ground and finds a way to finish him. Rousimar by Sub.

Pat Barry VS. Lavar Johnson

For those of you that have never seen Lavar Johnson fight, tuning in just for this fight would be worth the effort. Lavar is my pick for upset of the night and I think a lot of people will be surprised at how quickly he finishes this one. He may not be the most technical striker, but his chin and power should make up the difference. Johnson by brutal K.O.

Michael Johnson VS. Tony Ferguson

This one may very well prove to be the fight of the night as both of these guys are durable gamers. I'm expecting this battle to be all over the place with Tony Ferguson eventually out working Johnson and ending it early. Tough to say how he'll finish Johnson, but my money is on Ferguson.

3 pick: Hendricks, Palhares, Ferguson - $100 to win $230

4 pick: Hendricks, Palhares, Ferguson, Lavar Johnson - $100 to win $780

5 pick: Hendricks, Palhares, Ferguson, Lavar Johnson, Miller - $100 to win $1200

Until Next Time . . .
