Bellator 61: MJ's Picks & Parlays
Coming off of an exciting Bellator 60, we have Bellator 61 right around the corner. Friday's event features the much-anticipated rematch of Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos. Their previous bout which was to determine the Heavy Weight Tournament Champion ended early with a swift kick to Prindle's groin. Heavy Weight Tournament Championship
I'm taking Prindle in the rematch and predict a win by either KO or TKO. Prindle's heavy hands and underdog status will make him especially hungry and dangerous. I think it's the top value bet of the card hands down with Prindle at +348 to Thiago Santos's -425 .
Opening round of this years Middle Weight Tournament
Falcao is a heavy favorite to the Frenchman Paraisy, at -281 to Paraisy's +300 and rightfully so. I'm looking for Falcao to finish him by the second round and to eventually take the Belator Tournament Championship as the tourny favorite.
Brian Rogers versus Vitor Vianna is the second matchup of the tournament with both men coming off of losses to Alexander Schlemenko. While Rogers was stopped by Schlemenko and Vitor lost via decision, my pick is an upset by Rogers. Look for Rogers to bring it to Vianna quick and early and end the fight by TKO.
Victor Odonnell versus Vyacheslav Vasilevsky is the third of the tournament and I can't help but pick Vasilevsky as he is a -256 to Odonnell's +215.
The final tournament pick has to go with "The Arm Collector" Santana. His opponent Santos has a track record of decision wins and I just don't think he'll be able to outlast Santana. I'm looking for Santana to take his arm by the second round.
Solid 3 Pick - Falcao, Vasilevsky, Santana - $100 to win $199
Tougher 4 Pick - Falcao, Vasilevsky, Santana, Rogers - $100 to win $708
Big Money 5 Pick - Falcao, Vasilevsky, Santana, Rogers, Prindle - $100 to win $3,522
